Hibi Kimono Purse - 3133L


Our stylish and functional purse, hand made from vintage kimono. It has 4 inside pockets/sections, plus a zippered coin sections and 5 card slots in the main part. The bottom area opens out to give 4 more card slots and another pocket/section.

Bold 'Tachibana' emblems adorn this kimono fabric.  This is the symbol of Citrus Fruit, and signifies youth and longevity as the tree is an evergreen.  It is considered to be a refined motif, so is usually used on more formal kimono. 

The fabric is a silk, with a shibori pattern woven into the fabric giving with a textured finish.  Shibori is miniature tie-dye pattern which look like this pattern of kite shapes.

This vintage kimono was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan.  It is approximately 20-30 years old.
